I have been completely immersed in rewrites since signing with my publisher and its been so interesting. I’ve learned lots of things about the do’s and don’ts in writing, and I’m horrified to say I’m a serial offender. Using capitals to increase emphasis (yeah I’m ashamed to say I did) isn’t allowed. Over used words and other punctuation errors were quickly corrected as I licked my manuscript into shape. I’ve now submitted it and await my editor’s direction. There is still much work to be done as I now embark on a similar project with my second manuscript while I await feedback from my beta reader. Since I’m on tender hooks, editing will be a good distraction.
